An excellent example of Aardenbug's versatility is the disc mower, a hydraulically propelled side arm that can be mounted on any machine with three bolts. The disc mower is able to go around fruit trees and poles, so it can mow the area between the trees. It requires 30-50 litres of oil per minute, 1 pair of hydraulic couplings and a so-called oil drain connection. The vertical rotating shaft is equipped with 2 blades protected from shocks by a metal flange. The overall width of the implement is 60 cm and the working width is 50 cm. The mower is able to follow uneven ground thanks to an ingenious solution: the parallelepiped hitch with screw.
It is recommended for use with a grinder, but can also be combined with the Trimmer frame, a multifunctional frame that can easily be attached to a forklift, tractor or even a loader. This frame also has the advantage of hydraulic side tilt, which allows the position of the mower to be easily changed in relation to the wire. Our customers usually install the detachable disc mower on row crops for row cultivation, but it is also excellent for mowing under electric fences, or close to fences and next to them.
The deflection function works mechanically, using a spring: when the mower hits a reference point (typically a tree or pole) it tightens a spring through a hinge point, allowing the mower to deflect; when the resistance is removed, the spring returns the machine to its original position. The amount of deflection can be controlled by a stop screw.
